Transport - KLIA Ekspres Review

Somewhat costly
3*

We arrived at the airport fairly late on and knew that the KLIA Ekspres didn't run all night so we were in a hurry to make one of the last trains. As such, we didn't compare rates of other transport as trains naturally seem to be cheaper globally than taxis/Ubers/Grabs. Unfortunately, this is not the case in Kuala Lumpur, the train tickets one way cost us 55MYR each (110MYR in total) and yet a Grab is price fixed at 60MYR (not including toll fees), and that delivers you directly to your hotel door! The service itself was good; very fast, on time, spacious, and had clear English notifications. If the price was cheaper then I think it would be a fantastic method of transport, but overall I would suggest getting a Grab from the airport to the city centre instead.
