Tranquil outdoor space
4*
We have visited these gardens twice now, in both winter 2018 & summer 2020. On our first visit we arrived after a 21 hour flight as something to do. For a city, the gardens are very spacious and in a fantastic location, right by transport, with views of the Sydney Bridge and Opera House. Being winter time (2018) it wasn't exceedingly spectacular but appeared well maintained, and when we re visited in the summer months it was lush. There were a variety of plants and some scenic walks and individually themed areas. Toilets and eating facilities are present and there was even a nice shop where a small collection of flowers/native plants could be purchased. Being right in the CBD it is definitely worth a minor detour to experience it, or as a more full on half/full day trip for avid plant enthusiasts.
