A Grab from Krabi airport cost us just shy of 600 baht to get to the hotel which is located just off the main road, opposite a colourful Mosque (as no doubt you will have read about in other reviews). It is close enough to the beach that walking is feasible (about 15 minutes), however I would recommend taking the free shuttle where possible which I have posted a timetable of (as of December 16th 2019). There are also plenty of shops and restaurants about; I ate at a nice restaurant one night nearby called Thaifood & Coktails [see other reviews].

At check in they required a deposit of 500 baht per night. The staff were quite friendly. Our room was nice but fairly small, but it is a budget hotel after all. There was a safe, fridge, hairdryer, TV etc. but a lack of toiletries (only a shower cap). We also had a balcony which was nice, although small, and good for drying clothes/towels.

Unfortunately the wifi was pretty poor, loading a YouTube video was almost impossible unless you played it in 140p (poor quality). We did have a room at the end of the corridor which meant it was quiet but perhaps dampened the wifi signal. In addition, there was daily housekeeping, however one day they managed to replace two towels with one, so we had to call reception to ask for another. Then we had to recall after they failed to deliver a towel despite saying they'd be "a few minutes" (we waited at least 15 minutes and were in a rush). Also the toilet paper was not topped up on another day.

On the other hand, we were worried about the Mosque calling and almost didn't book the hotel based on other reviews, alas we never heard it once during the night and slept perfectly; it really isn't loud at all, although our room position probably helped as we were not directly opposite. Breakfast also had an okay selection but it does get a bit repetitive, especially if you were staying for a long duration.

The hotel was very Indian dominated, for example around the pool where most of the families were Indian. The pool was nice but did descend into shade mid afternoon.

It certainly feels like they want to charge you for everything at these hotels, there was an extensive 'damage list' in the room (40 baht if you lose your complimentary water bottle...), table tennis was 'free' (but only if you purchase a drink), and there were warnings around the breakfast area that if you take anything you'll be fined; it's just not very comforting seeing warnings & fine lists everywhere.

In summary, I would recommend the hotel to anyone on a budget that wants to visit Ao Nang beach, but for families, for instance, I would probably suggest paying a bit extra for something less 'budget' which offers more than just the basics.
