Welcome to our global travelling website! By creating MichaelRebeccaTravelling we had 2 aims;

Firstly, we want the site to act as a free point-of-contact for anyone curious about travelling (namely to South-east Asia, Australia, the U.S. & Canada, and Europe) and occupy a niche that is ‘budget travelling but in comfort’ i.e. hotels not hostels, planes not cross-country buses! We welcome anyone that may have elaborate questions or just general enquiries about ANY of the places we have visited to get in touch, and hopefully we can use our experiences to answer 😊 Our goal is to fully respond to all questions which will then be posted on our Q&A page. Furthermore, we have included our entire trips detailed reviews (taken from TripAdvisor) and a preparation document Michael made prior to our amazing adventure!
Secondly, we simply wanted a space to document and archive our unforgettable experiences, so a website was perfect, achieving this but also allowing us to share it with anybody and everybody, whether a global nomad or not, in the form of our extensive galleries (with some holiday movies).
Our October 2019 - March 2020 trip is outlined below. In addition, we have created a world map with all the locations we have visited, both together and separately over our lifetimes, which we would love to answer questions about too! Despite both only being 22 years old, together we have been incredibly lucky to visit many places, ultimately, we hope that we can provide some insight into travelling and help anybody interested take one step closer in making their aspirations a reality!

Our Trip: October 2019 - March 2020
Above are our two highlights videos covering the entire adventure that we took after finishing University.
We left London Heathrow, flying to Beijing on October 22nd 2019 (arriving on the 23rd), to begin our trip, and returned (slightly early thanks to Covid-19 ☹) from Kelowna [Canada] on March 22nd 2020.

As mentioned, we have also had the opportunity to see many other parts of the world; we had previously visited Australia for a month in [their] winter 2018, seeing Sydney, Brisbane and Cairns (to snorkel the Great Barrier Reef!). Together we have also been to Amsterdam, Prague, Greece (Zante/Zakynthos), Spain (Lanzarote), Paris, Budapest, and Venice which are all identified on the map below.
